1ClickProduct - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how 1ClickProduct ("we", "us", or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you install or use our Shopify application. By installing the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information from Your Shopify Account
Upon installation, the App automatically accesses certain information from your Shopify account as permitted by the access scopes you approve:
- Product data — titles, descriptions, images, pricing, variants, and inventory information (read and write access)
- Publication data — sales channel and publication status of your products (read and write access)
- Store information — your store name, domain, currency, and plan details
1.2 Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly through your use of the App:
- Product URLs you submit for importing (from Amazon, AliExpress, eBay, or other supported platforms)
- AI content preferences such as brand voice, tone, language, and description length settings
- Pricing rules and currency conversion preferences
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
- Your Shopify store domain and authenticated session tokens
- App usage data such as import counts and feature usage
- Error logs and performance data to maintain and improve the App
1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect information about your store's customers or visitors. We do not place cookies, tracking pixels, or any scripts on your online storefront. The App operates entirely within the Shopify Admin.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing the service — importing products, creating listings, and publishing them to your Shopify store
- AI content generation — your product data (titles, descriptions, images) is sent to our AI provider to generate rewritten or translated content. Only the specific product text being rewritten is shared; no personal or store visitor data is included
- Billing and usage tracking — monitoring your import usage relative to your subscription plan limits
- App improvement — analyzing usage patterns and error logs to improve reliability and add features
- Communication — responding to support requests and providing service-related notices
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Shopify — platform provider; your data is subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy
- AI content provider — product text (titles and descriptions only) is sent to our AI service for content rewriting and translation. No personal data or store visitor data is shared with this provider
- Product data API — when you submit a URL, our service retrieves publicly available product information (title, description, images, price) from the source platform
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
- Account data — your app settings, AI preferences, and usage statistics are retained for as long as the App is installed on your store
- Import job data — temporary import job records are automatically deleted within one hour of completion
- Session tokens — encrypted and stored only for the duration required to maintain your authenticated session
- Upon uninstallation — when you uninstall the App, we receive a webhook from Shopify and begin the process of deleting your stored data. Products already published to your Shopify store remain in your store and are not affected
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- Shopify access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
- Authentication is handled through Shopify's session token mechanism — we never store your Shopify password
- Database access is restricted and connection-pooled with query limits
6. Your Rights
6.1 General Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your stored data by contacting us
- Correct inaccurate information through the App's settings
- Delete your data by uninstalling the App or contacting us directly
- Withdraw consent by uninstalling the App at any time through Shopify Admin
6.2 Rights for EU/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you (providing the App service).
6.3 Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion of personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
7. Shopify Mandatory Privacy Compliance
In accordance with Shopify's API requirements, we handle the following webhook events:
- Customer data request — we respond to requests for customer data. Since we do not collect or store customer data, our response confirms no data is held
- Customer data erasure — we respond to requests to delete customer data. Since we do not store customer data, our response confirms compliance
- Shop data erasure — upon receiving a shop erasure request, we delete all stored data associated with your store
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
